Job Summary
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Engineer Intern to support our engineering team in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.
- This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in the telecommunications industry while contributing to real-world infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and layout of fiber optic cable routes and network infrastructure
- Support the installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cables
- Work with GIS tools to document and update fiber paths and network diagrams
- Perform signal loss measurements, OTDR testing, and troubleshoot network issues under supervision
- Prepare reports and technical documentation on fiber performance and installations
- Collaborate with engineers, field technicians, and project managers on active deployments
- Follow industry best practices and safety standards during all field work

Qualifications for the Position of Fiber Optic Engineer (Intern) at Fibre Hub
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Basic understanding of fiber optic principles, network topologies, and signal transmission
- Familiarity with tools such as OTDRs, power meters, and splicing machines is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work in both office and field environments
