Job Title: Assistant Accountant, Inventory Control & Fixed Asset Niger Mills – Calabar
Job Purpose
To ensure proper posting of all inventories, bill of material (BOM) management on enterprise resource planning (ERP), generate reports. Coordination of all importation with vendor, clearing agent in accordance with relevant standard.
Responsibilities
- Posting of approved production bill of material (BOM) into the enterprise resource planning (ERP)& Microsoft Axapta (AX)).
- Ensure weekly daily posting of production volumes and perform weekly reconciliation with Axapta not latter than Tuesdays of the following week.
- Perform weekly reconciliation of Finished goods and Packaging Material stores with physical counts and Axapta.
- Generate weekly exception reports on above two, provide variance explanations and get HOF’s sign off.
- Plan and execute monthly, quarterly and full year standard physical stock count or checks and ensure reconciliations with systems along with Inventory Officer.
- Carry out costing of finished goods based on the prevailing cost price of Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Material (PM) and Chemicals & Consumables (CC) for management pricing decision.
Requirements
- Have excellent interpersonal, Leadership and communication skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta) and/or other ERP systems.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Be process-driven and committed to continuous improvement and accuracy in reporting.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Accounting, Banking & Finance or any related discipline.
- Professional Certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
