African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), a subsidiary of African Industries Group, is pioneering Nigeria’s integrated iron ore mining and processing sector with a state-of-the-art facility in Gujeni, Kaduna State. The company operates Nigeria’s first ISO-accredited mineral testing laboratory and employs approximately 4,000 people directly and indirectly.
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the position of Mechanical Technician (Graduate Trainee) at African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML).
Job Title: Mechanical Technician (Graduate Trainee)
Responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training focused on pellet plant machinery such as balling discs, rotary kilns, annular coolers, conveyor systems and assist in executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Support inspection, lubrication, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical systems.
- Observe and report abnormal equipment behavior (vibrations, overheating, leaks, etc.).
- Learn to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and SOPs.
- Maintain basic documentation, maintenance logs, and inspection checklists.
- Adhere strictly to all plant safety rules,procedures and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, instrumentation, process) during plant operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- B.Eng. / HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 0 – 1 year relevant experience (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Good understanding of basic mechanical concepts and machine operation.
- Eagerness to learn, good communication skills, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a plant environment.
